612: 7 Aug 2023 Juvenile Common Ringed Plover

Nothing rare but nice to see a late brood of Common Ringed Plover chicks at Hodbarrow. Three of them were being shepherded by two adults about the main track close to the lighthouse, whilst trying to avoid the walkers and the their dogs, and cyclists. When I walked back past the lighthouse an hour later they had gone back over the stone bank towrads the main lagoon where hopefully they would be safer.
