From John Wilson Hide: apparently dumpier than adjacent male Eurasian Teal, vertical white breast bands, brighter buff chest, less delineated head pattern. Showing well for an hour or more. First reported 4th February, so still present.

81 whoopers in fields along B5301 near Pelutho Grange Farm. Also 32 Whoopers at Blackdyke Silloth and 20 on Silloth airfield. 22 juvs in all

Water Rail at Foulshaw Moss carpark, underneath the feeders. They seem to come to the area beneath the feeders as long as no one is walking about or slamming car doors.

Juvenile still present along with several Goldeneye and 2 Goosander at 11.00 am

Lousy weather but a reasonable selection: 220 wigeon 1m goldeneye 1 kingfisher 2 goosander.  mf
