201: 10 Apr 2024 Whooper Swans

Location: Borrans Park

Name: Harry Coghill

3 whooper swans came from the east turning north before re-orientating and heading south down Windermere. Also c175 pink footed geese NW, drake tufted duck (uncommon here), 5 house Martin, 2 swallow and 4 red breasted mergansers. Location: Siddick pond

Blackcap and willow warblers at siddick pond today along with 2 LRP and a male red breastfed merganser and a kingfisher

Green woodpecker heard yaffling to the east.

209: 8 Apr 2024 Grasshopper Warbler

Name: Steven Swift

Heard a grasshopper warbler on the path east of the car park near the bench. Recorded sound on Merlín app. Reported it to the warden. He confirmed my sound recording and with real song. No sighting of bird though.
