2pm Raucous flock of crossbills (min. count 14) seen feeding high in the spruces. Cones raining down. Males & females seen clearly with bins. 1 seen flying with a cone in its bill which I’ve never seen before. They do tend to stay in the same area for several days.

Hooded Crow with other covids and gulls feeding in a field beside the St Bees to Coulderton coast road this afternoon. Also, an Juvenile Wheatear on Nethertown beach.
