Collinge. Location: Campfield Marsh.  8.00pm A few Little Egrets, quite a few Snipe put up by Marsh  Harrier then Could not believe a Cattle Egret flew close towards the hide. Yellow bill and stumpy looking. Seen many before but a first for me in Cumbria. Got another view in flight again…

Sighting date: 2023-05-04. Submitted by: Dennis Renney. Location: River Ellen Maryport stretch of river beneath Mote Hill .  10 Housemartins seen all gathering mud from the river bank. All birds were swooping low and and gathering the mud in their beaks. White rumps could be seen clearly on all birds.
