Sighting date: 2024-03-07. Submitted by: Sue Hazelwood. Location: Crag Wood Colthouse nr Hawkshead SD35869885. Male hawfinch clearly seen at top of dead larch at the edge of wood. Huge bill obvious, chestnut head,white neck & tailtip. Flew away onto large beech beside the lane accompanied by 2 others.
